First of all ....
I would like to thank each and everyone of the seniors and super seniors for their
appreciation towards the build up of Infest 07, on behalf of all the people present here. Thank you guys, we really need the support. Wish all of you could make it to the event.
Updates ...
Publicity in paldi reached an all time high today with 50 A3 posters going up simultaneously in each and every corner of the main campus, and the website being uploaded.
The Infest theme song is complete and will be available for download very soon. The T-Shirts have arrived and they look great.
Dance and drama practices are in full swing. The Decoration team has moved into action and are slogging it out. We are painting all the lab doors this time.
Bus Yun hi 3, is under constrcution. IT lab is being converted into a full fledged gaming arena. The stage backdrop is a huge 20feet by 10feet graphic.
All in all, Infest 07 is happening on a massive scale. NID - Gandhinagar is the next big thing :).

Infest is now on 5th, Sunday

This is due to a request by ED. He would not have been able to attend Infest on 4th.

Let the show begin ...
As the minutes turn into hours, the hours into days and new bargains for extending lab timings are presented to Dr.Baral, we prepare ....
we prepare for 4th of august, saturday evening ..
Infest preparations are in top gear now@9000 rpm :)
A couple of important things...
1. We have ordered for 250 tshirts in the first lot. This time we have decided to bring out the tshirt in 3 colors and 2 designs(most probably).
As of now, we have just ordered for one design. We will take orders for the Second design on Infest day. The three t-shirt colors are black, white and chrome yellow.
so,
Design 1 : 100 white , 100 black and 50 chrome yellow.
Design 2: NOT YET DECIDED.
the combinations are,
a. chrome yellow print on black t-shirt
b. chocolate brown print on white t-shirt
c steel gray print on chrome yellow t-shirt.
The color pallette this time is an array of warm colors - orange(s), yellow(s), red(s).
The following is the design (FRONT)
Following is the design for BACK
A second round of order will be taken soon, based upon the response to the design in Paldi and others who might want to buy it.
The sizes are as usual : XS, S , M , L, XL and XXL.
We brought sample shirts of all sizes and then took orders.
Dear seniors,
We have ordered sufficient quantity of tshirts for now. We hope we would not run out of pieces. If in case of unavailability, please give us orders and we will make sure that they reach you. Since there are 3 colors, we did not want to risk ordering a large quantity.
Also,
Please consider this as an informal invite for the event. A formal one is on the way. Please book your tickets. Infest is on a weekend, conveniently planned. Please do come and make this a grand success.

The dance and skit practices are running in full swing.
As part of publicity we have a big campaign starting today. The website should be up by tommorow. So keep a look out.

9 days to go
9 days to go.. time's flying by..what is happening??? ok quick update..
Infest has been rescheduled for the 4th of Aug..Seniors n Supers n the ones before - please come, join us n help us make this event a grander success than we hope..the juniors are an awsome batch and really enthu :)
Logo for Brand Infest has been finalised and huge publicity campaign is on its way.. We're thinking up lots of ideas to bombard Paldi with for the rest of the week.. A teaser should have been released today before the screening of the movies of the french film festival at the audi..the graphics of the t.shirt and posters are also being made..altho we've run into some problems about finding a printer for the t.shirts.. (seniors if ya'l knw anyone, please contact aroon [+919924488995] or aditya ananth)
The cultural teams have been making some headway..the music team comprising of the juniors have composed a song for infest!! the tone deaf rest absolutely love it! :) so expect a rocking performance by our very own in-house band! :) (please all if u guys hav ideas for lyrics for the infest song n wanna contribute, please put ur ideas in)
the dance this time is going with medley, the theme being celebration..so the team's gonna have their own dance party on stage ;)
The other teams - gaming, deco, infrastructure have been brainstorming n all..all is well in that dept too..brainstorming for bus yun hi the third is also in the process, although i think it's gonna take a bit because Divesh has got a wrist ligament injury (dont ask how..you dont wanna knw :))
ok now face it..all is NOT well in la la land.. problems we're facing at this point:
The schedule is going haywire!! deadlines are not being met..this is the biggest problem because this time we DO NOT have an extendable deadline!! pull your socks up, do whtever..JUS DO IT!! we've got a mega budget sanctioned and going by the publicity campaign planned, we better get our act together..its now or never!!

buck up people
rainbow my friends!
things are comin up, now that the logo has come up, but all the stuffs are running real slow, lot of works to do, please people put some real hard deadline.
we should have a meetin every dat, or some days in a week, to analyse the progress, and help out teams who are running real slow.
have to put up a good show, thats for sure.

Introductory post ...
Hi everyone ...
After the mega-success of the interaction 07 blog (juniors please dont mind :) ), we thought that the 'plan by blogging' model would help us in planning Infest 07, to be on 4th August 2007.
This blog is specially meant to gather ideas and feedback from the seniors and super seniors , meaning the batch of 2005-07 and 2004-06, and maybe some faculty too ( far fetched i know ).
The theme this time is, "celebrating our campus". So, sarcasms , negetivity et. al have been shown the door( No offense to the last year's theme, We all think that was the need of the hour and extremely well thought off and executed). Its a complete turn around this time in the sense that, we are showing that we extremely happy with wherever we are and though there are difficulties, we really dont mind. An extensive publicity campaign is planned in paldi starting 20th of July.
We are fortunate to be having an extremely talented and enthu junior batch. Seniors, we need your help and feedback in ideas and everything else. Please take out some time and start posting.
